This program was started with the financial assistance of World Bank Through National Trust for Population Welfare, Islamabad in 1999. Total credit line with Qadir Foundation was Rs.0.8 million. Eight Community Organizations were set up to whom a credit of 0.7 million was advanced. Small loans of Rs.5000/- to Rs.10000/- were provided for small home based business. Ladies were especially encouraged to benefit from this project. Interest rate was only 12% with no other charges which was the lowest as compared to all other micro loaning agencies including Agriculture Development Bank of Pakistan, Commercial Banks or other programs. However, the project could not perform well and due to defaults and other operational problems the program was closed in year 2000.
